I left Rinlo with the vauge idea of heading west, but the journey took a northerly slant and I eventually decided to head north west and to Punta mas Septentrional de Espana. A lot of the jouney was through semi-industrial towns until climbing north through the forest when habitation thinned out and cars were scarse. Then it was a delight, roads becoming narrower, steeper, bendier. I briefly stopped at O Porto de Bares where the residents watched from the local bar with amusement when I came to turn round in the carpark, with the impossible to reverse trailer, I'd like to see them try! Anyway it was possibly the most exciting thing they had seen all week, so I hope they enjoyed it.

Spain's very own John O'Groats
I think the most northerly point is the lonely rock with white water around, O Estaquin. Amazing alpine flowers blooming everywhere.
I arrived in the evening and parked up with a couple of other vans, my first rough camp, nobody bothered us, nobody was around.
In the morning I went out past the lighthouse and down onto the rocks, as far as I could safely go.
I can't do the flowers justice but you get the idea, surviving despite the wind.
The lighthouse and strange semi-abandoned communial accomodation.
