7th June - More kitesurfing humiliation

Rained overnight and matches damp, so not a good start to the day. Low tide is at 16:00 so aiming to get to beach around 12:00. The wind had dropped but there were still kitesurfers on the water. Attempted to launch but span the kite. Checked all the rigging and now super causcious and nervous. Failed to launch and it was suggested I take some lessons. Packed up feeling completely humiliated.

Seriously questioning if I should be on the beach, I had only kitesurfed with instruction back in the UK, I went back out again at low tide. The wind was light but I launched the kite ok, got on the water and made several successful water starts and short runs. I took the opportunity to come off the water when there was someone to land the kite or I would have stayed longer. OK, this was an improvement, I was feeling better but determined to seek more lessons.
