Packed up Camp (Bye Bye Camping Tonnelle Plage) and headed into Notre Dame-de-Monts to collect my bike, there it was leaning against a wall where I left it. A bit buckled so I looked round for a bike shop. Sure enough a shop in the town square just 20m away. They needed a couple of hours to get parts so I looked around to find a bar. Just a few people there and I noticed the TV was showing ads, could I watch the French Open? Wow, the Women's Final had just started so I got to watch Iga Swiatek win before heading to collect my bike which was fixed and better than before. Oddly the French were completely disinterested in the tennis.
I can remember I'd seen a solitary kite flying when I passed over the Ile de Noirmoutier bridge, the Baie de Bourgneuf looked ideal for Kitesurfing, so I headed back north to La Barre-de-Monts. Camping Le Grand Corseau came up on Google maps and I arrived just before they closed. The staff had gathered ready to leave and I (the bus) received a round of applause as I entered, they were all VW enthusiasts with VW memorabilia dotted around.

This was a great introduction to the campsite and I found a good spot to set-up camp. Asking about kitesurfing I was encouraged to head to the beach 1/2km away, I was not disappointed, Plage de la Grande Cote has a sandbar running out to sea at low tide and this forms a shallow flat water lake and is a mecca for kitesurfers.
