Main concern was insurance and finding a windscreen supplier. Assessing the damage;

  • Windsceen

  • Lights, van front and trailer

  • Wing mirrors

  • Numerous dents to three sides of the van

  • Tent & tables.

Insurance, now there's a thing. Tried the AA to arrange a windscreen. They came back to say my insurer Kinetic had no arrangements in place to fund the replacement. Just Kampers got a third party to call who were only interested in the 'third party' to the accident, GOD then? They did give me Kenetic's number. After several attempts and 30min waits I get through, no they are not the insurer, try LV/Highway. More long waits but I get through in the end. Yes I am insured but not listed on their system. After further long waits I suggest they call me back, I've not heard from them since.

Time is getting on and I speak to the site owner who has a massive problem himself, roofs smashed in and tree debris everywhere. He suggested a location and I head into St. Andres-du-Cubaz. A que, there have been a lot of damaged vehicles, I wait. Eventually I'm told windscreens for my vehicle are hard to locate - so? Well they find one, 'come back Thursday at 18:00', no deposit, just come back.

Hailstones went straight through the table!
